Just a hint, as Norm was referring, all your DDS files have an alpha (small window up in the top right) that mirrors your main image in black and white basically. This is the "shininess" control too, so you should go back to the original truck or trailers DDS file, send the alpha to the editor, then save it to a file or to your desktop where you can easily find it. Then, after loading your bmp or whatever into your dds, go load your correct alpha too, that will keep your shine and shadow correct for the truck or trailer. Also remember to save as DXT5 file, then you won't have problems. Once the image you wanted and the alpha are in you save it. And you will see your skin in the colors you actually painted it.

Also, I don't see the right side of your truck/trailer, but if the lettering is backward this is easy to fix too, requires making a few files (modding .mat and .tobj files, making the proper reversed lettered side for one side, fixing your base .desc file to tell the skin how it should appear). That may also help with your mudflaps.

Is there a visual step by step on what you just sead.. Because I have an Idea on what you are saying but I think it just got me more confused.  Rolling Eyes I like to get some of the shine off though.. I understand what you mean by that..

 Thx for the Hint

Hey Michael, check this and like truckpol, etc... in their tutorial section for PTTM, look for skinning, alphas, double sided skins. If you don't find anything let me know.
